Your Mysa Smart Thermostat (formerly Mysa for Central HVAC) comes with everything you need for installation. This guide covers what's included, optional accessories, and tools you'll need.

Connectivity
Mysa Smart Thermostat connects directly to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network — no hub required. Download the free Mysa app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) to control your thermostat from anywhere. A Mysa account is required.
Once the Matter firmware update is released (expected Q1 2026), you'll be able to connect Mysa to Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa using a Matter-compatible hub.
Optional Accessories (Sold Separately)
Not everyone needs a C-Wire Adapter or Trim Kit, so we sell them separately to keep the price down for you and reduce e-waste for the planet.
Mysa Power C-Wire Adapter Provides continuous 24V power if your system doesn't have a C-wire. Nearly 50% of homes need this adapter. See Understanding Your C-Wire and the Mysa Power C-Wire Adapter.
Mysa Trim Kit Covers marks or holes left by your old thermostat. Includes a decorative trim plate (17 cm x 17 cm) and junction box adapter plate for single or double gang boxes. See Mysa Trim Kit Installation.
Tools You'll Need
Required:
- Medium Phillips screwdriver
Recommended:
- Small Phillips screwdriver
- Drill with 3/32" bit (hardwood) or 5/64" bit (softwood) for pilot holes
- Wire strippers
- Pliers
- Smartphone with the Mysa app
Before You Start
- Turn off power to your HVAC system at the breaker
- Take a photo of your existing thermostat wiring
- Confirm your system is 24V (low-voltage), not line-voltage (120/240V)
