Mysa Trim Kit Installation
Your old thermostat left marks — paint lines, screw holes, maybe a cutout larger than Mysa needs. The Mysa Trim Kit covers all of it so your install looks clean from day one.
The kit includes a trim plate and a junction box adapter plate. Use one or both depending on your setup.

Do You Need the Trim Kit?
The Trim Kit is optional. You need it if your old thermostat left visible marks or a larger opening than Mysa Smart Thermostat covers. If your wall is clean, you can skip it.
Direct to Wall Installation (No Junction Box)
Use this method if your thermostat wires come directly through the drywall without a junction box.
- Feed wires through the Trim Plate, then the Wall Plate.
- Position on wall and use the built-in level to align. Mark screw holes (2-hole or 3-hole option).
- Drill pilot holes if using drywall anchors.
- Mount Wall Plate with screws from your thermostat package — the Trim Plate sits between the Wall Plate and the wall.
- Complete thermostat wiring and setup.
Junction Box Installation
Use this method if your thermostat wires terminate in a single or double gang junction box.
- Feed wires through the Adapter Plate.
- Attach Adapter Plate to the junction box with the large screws included.
- Mount Wall Plate to Adapter Plate with the small screws included (thermostat screws not required).
- Optional: Add the Trim Plate between the Wall Plate and Adapter Plate for a finished look.
- Complete thermostat wiring and setup.

FAQs
Can I use just the Trim Plate without the Junction Box Adapter? Yes. If you're mounting to drywall, use only the Trim Plate. The adapter is there if you need it.
What size opening can the Trim Plate cover? Up to 17 cm x 17 cm (6.7" x 6.7") — large enough for most standard thermostat footprints.
Does this fit other Mysa thermostats? No. The Trim Kit fits Mysa Smart Thermostat only.
