Understanding Your Mysa Accounts
Mysa has two separate accounts that serve different purposes. It's important to understand the difference between them so you can manage each one properly.
What Are the Two Account Types?
You may have up to two different Mysa accounts:
1. Mysa Store Account — Your online shopping account
2. Mysa App Account — Your thermostat control account
These accounts are completely separate and may use different email addresses.
> Important These two accounts are independent. Changes to one account do not affect the other.
Mysa Store Account (account.getmysa.com)
Your store account is for shopping and order management on the Mysa website.
Use this account to:
- Purchase Mysa products
- View your order history
- Track your orders
- Update billing and shipping addresses
- Manage payment methods
Access it at: [account.getmysa.com](https://account.getmysa.com)
You can log in with the email and password you created when you first made a purchase or opened an account on our website.
> Note Your store account email can be different from your app account email.
Mysa App Account (In the Mysa App)
Your app account is for controlling your Mysa thermostats and managing your heating settings.
Use this account to:
- Add and manage your Mysa thermostats
- Control temperature and settings
- Create heating schedules
- Monitor thermostat status
- Change your password
Access it in: The Mysa mobile app (iOS or Android) or web app
You create or log into your app account when you first open the Mysa app or visit the web app. You must use the Mysa app to make any changes to your app account — you cannot change app settings on the website.
> Important App account settings (passwords, profile info, thermostat settings) can ONLY be changed inside the Mysa app. You cannot manage these through the store website.
Why Two Separate Accounts?
- Store account manages your orders and purchases
- App account manages your smart heating system
- This separation keeps your shopping and heating control independent
- You can shop without adding thermostats
- You can control thermostats without making new purchases
Which Account Do I Need?
If you bought Mysa products:
- You have a store account (created automatically with your first purchase)
- You need an app account to control your thermostats (set up in the app)
If you only want to control heating:
- You only need an app account (no store account required)
If you only shop but don't have thermostats yet:
- You only need a store account (at account.getmysa.com)
Troubleshooting Account Issues
I forgot my store account password:
Use the "Forgot Password" link at [account.getmysa.com](https://account.getmysa.com)
I forgot my app account password:
Use the "Forgot Password" option in the Mysa app
My store email is different from my app email:
This is normal and expected — they are separate accounts
I can't find my order history:
Make sure you're logged into your store account at [account.getmysa.com](https://account.getmysa.com), not the app
