Temperature Modes — Ambient vs Floor

Mysa for In-Floor Heating offers two temperature control modes: Ambient and Floor. You can switch between modes anytime in the app settings.
Ambient Mode
Ambient mode uses the thermostat's built-in sensor to maintain your desired room temperature.

Floor Mode
Floor mode uses the external floor sensor to maintain your desired floor surface temperature.

Tip Use Floor mode with Smart Limit Protection to prevent heat damage to hardwood, laminate, or luxury vinyl flooring.
How to Switch Modes
- Open the Mysa app
- Tap the In-Floor thermostat
- Tap Settings
- Select Temperature Mode
- Choose Ambient or Floor
- Tap Save
Note Switching modes does not require reinstallation. You can change between Ambient and Floor mode at any time.
Display Behavior
The thermostat display shows the temperature from whichever sensor is set as the primary tracking sensor:
- In Ambient mode, the display shows room temperature
- In Floor mode, the display shows floor surface temperature
