Account Sharing

Share access to your Mysa with family members, roommates, or anyone who needs to control your mini-split.
How Sharing Works
The account owner invites others via email. Invitees create their own Mysa account (or use an existing one) and get access to the shared home. Everyone can control the thermostats, but only the owner can manage account settings.
Inviting Someone
- Open the Mysa app
- Tap the menu icon
- Tap Settings
- Tap Shared Access
- Tap Invite
- Enter their email address
- Tap Send Invite
The invitee receives an email with instructions to accept.
Accepting an Invitation
- Check your email for the invitation
- Tap the link in the email
- Download the Mysa app if you haven't already
- Create a Mysa account or sign in
- The shared home appears in your app
What Shared Users Can Do
- Adjust temperature, mode, and fan speed
- Create and edit schedules
- Use shortcuts
- View energy insights
Note: Only the primary account holder receives Smart Alerts. Shared users cannot receive alerts.
What Only the Owner Can Do
- Invite or remove shared users
- Remove devices from the account
- Manage Wi-Fi settings
- Delete the home
Removing Shared Access
- Go to Settings > Shared Access
- Find the person you want to remove
- Tap Remove
They'll immediately lose access to your home and devices.
Geofencing with Multiple Users
When multiple users have the app installed with location permissions:
- Away mode activates when the last person leaves
- Home mode activates when the first person arrives
This ensures the system only sets back when the home is truly empty.
