Increase In-floor temperature to 40°C / 104° F
In order to allow Mysa for In-floor to be set and reach 40° C / 104° F you will need to increase the maximum temperature.
To do this you can simply follow the steps or video below:
- Open the Mysa App
- Select your Mysa for In-Floor device from the home screen
- Navigate to Settings (this is the gear icon located in the top right)
- Scroll down the page until you see Setpoint Control
- Select the 30°C or 86°F
- Scroll down and select the highest temperature (or your desired maximum)
- If you navigate back to the thermostat, you will now have the ability to adjust past 30°C or 86°F
In off Mode, Mysa will not send power to your heater. The thermostat will still be on but will not turn your heaters on. This setting can be enabled manually on the thermostat itself or using the Mysa App. Before you turn off your heaters, you need to ensure that if you have any shortcuts set, that they are set to 'hold until I decide to change' option. Lastly, make sure that you have disabled your geofence, to ensure Mysa does not turn on when the geofence is activated.
Please also ensure that Mysa is either removed from smart Home automation, or these automations are disabled. This will apply to Amazon Alexa, Google Home, HomeKit, IFTTT, and Samsung SmartThings.
On the thermostat: Hold down the down arrow until you see three dots on the display. Let go of the down arrow. The thermostat is now in off Mode.
In the Mysa App: Tap the tile of the thermostat you'd like to turn off. Press the flame icon mid-screen, and a pop-up menu should appear. Tap off Mode, represented by a plug. See the attached video.
Yes! Mysa for In-Floor gives users the ability to select the floor type that is installed above the in-floor heating mat.
By providing this functionality Mysa for In-Floor is able to automatically ensure the safety of the floor by following recognized maximum floor temperatures!
Mysa currently supports the following Floor Types:
|Floor Type||Maximum Temperature|
|Tiles and Stone||104°F / 40°C|
|Hardwood and Laminate||82°F / 28°C|
|Vinyl||82°F / 28°C|
|Carpet||82°F / 28°C|
The floor type can be set after pairing your Mysa for In-Floor via the Mysa App.
Additionally, the floor type can be adjusted by selecting the thermostat from the Mysa App Homescreen, navigating to the settings (gear icon), and selecting the correct floor type.
Some common reasons for restarting Mysa include; Mysa has disconnected from the WIFI and is having a hard time reconnecting, the temperature is showing higher than it actually is, settings are not being saved, etc. To reboot your Mysa, hold down the 'Down' arrow for 15-20 seconds. It will lower the temperature and then enter off mode, represented by the dashed line. Keep the arrow down until 'RT' appears on the display. Let go of the arrow, and the thermostat should reboot and display the smiley face.
If that doesn't work, you should try to power cycle the thermostat by turning the breaker connected to the thermostat off then back on again.
To reset your thermostat to factory default:
- Press and hold both arrows for 10-15 seconds.
- Allow roughly 30 seconds for the unit to reboot and initialize.
- A smiley face should appear.
- Hold the up and down arrows again until FR appears.
- The pairing triangle will appear.
- You can now pair your unit again.
It will show up when an internet connection is established.
You can also:
- Remove the faceplate for 10/15 minutes
- Replace it
- When the pairing icon comes up, pair your device.
During a power outage, Mysa will save all of your preferred settings and automatically restart when the power comes back on.
Yes, since the thermostat already has a connection to the WiFi all software and firmware updates will download automatically.
If Mysa does not update to the latest firmware after being installed for 6+ hours, please review potential firewall settings that may be blocking the update from reaching your Mysa. This can be confirmed by reviewing below and ensuring the following ports are open:
- 8883 this is the primary way Mysa sends data to and from the cloud.
- 443 is also used to access cloud information.
- HomeKit requires port 57959 to be open.
- 123 is used for accessing the timezone for the thermostat.
- 67 or 68 are also required for DHCP.
If you can ensure these are open and the following sites are whitelisted this will ensure communication to our servers and your Mysa device are open!
If at this time Mysa still does not update please reach out to our support team and we will be sure to have this corrected!
Yes. To do this, open the Mysa App and tap the tile of the thermostat. Press the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner, and scroll down. Under "Button Control" tap locked.
You will still be able to change the temperature via the Mysa App, however, you won't be able to touch the buttons on the Mysa display.
Ideally, the best place to install Mysa is in the same room as the floor heating system. Since Mysa is installed in an already existing gang box, as long as it's in the same room as the floor heating, it's a fine place to install.
By default, Mysa shows and controls the floor temperature. However, you can choose for Mysa to display and control the air temperature. The Mysa App will show air and floor temperature simultaneously!
Mysa will automatically have the temperature in Celsius but this can be changed to Fahrenheit!
To adjust the temperature from Celsius/Fahrenheit follow here.
To adjust the brightness follow here.
Mysa will turn the floor heater on/off based on the floor temperature or air temperature, whichever the user decides. If using the air temperature, the thermostat will ensure the floor temperature never goes above the maximum allowable floor temperature.
