I received a Failed to Connect error, what do I do?

Here are some steps you can take if your thermostat is having trouble connecting to a WiFi network for the first time, or after you’ve made some changes to the network.

You might see a Failed to connect error when you:

  • Install your Mysa and try to connect it to WiFi for the first time

  • Re-connect your thermostat to a network whose name or other information has changed

  • Select a different network to connect your thermostat to, if it was previously connected to one before

1. Restart your thermostat

Simply restarting your thermostat can give it a fresh start to try again after it failed to connect. To do so, simply flip the circuit breaker off and then back on again.

2. Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4 ghz network

Mysa is only compatible with a 2.4ghz network. Connecting to a 5ghz or merged network can lead to a failed connection.

3. Ensure your Mysa app is up to date

We're always making improvements to the mobile app, so always check to make sure the mobile app is up to date.

4. Restart your Router

A simple router reboot can often update the settings and lead to a better connection.
