What voice commands can I use with Amazon Alexa?

Mysa's integration with the smart home device, Amazon Echo, allows homeowners to control their thermostats using voice commands. This article lists all the commands Alexa understands regarding your thermostats.  

*We suggest naming zones by room name. 

Getting the Temperature / Setpoint of a Thermostat:

  • "Alexa, what is the current temperature in the <room name>?"
  • "Alexa, what's the <room name> set to?"
  • "Alexa, what's the temperature of my <room name>?"

Setting the Temperature:

  • "Alexa, set the temperature in the <room name> to <temperature>."

Increasing / Decreasing the Temperature:

  • "Alexa, increase the temperature in the <room name>."
    • >> This will result in a 5 degrees F (3 degrees C) increase from the current setpoint.
  • "Alexa, decrease the temperature in the <room name>."
    • >> This will result in a 5 degrees F (3 degrees C) decrease from the current setpoint.
  • "Alexa, increase the temperature in the <room name> by <number> degrees."
  • "Alexa, decrease the temperature in the <room name> by <number> degrees."
