Amazon Alexa

Connect your Mysa for Mini-Splits to Amazon Alexa to control your mini-split with voice commands or include it in Alexa routines.

Connecting to Alexa

From the Mysa app:

  1. Open the Mysa app
  2. Tap the menu icon (top left)
  3. Tap Home Assistants
  4. Select Alexa
  5. Tap Link Account then Allow
  6. When Alexa opens, tap Allow
  7. You'll be redirected back to the Mysa app — tap Done

The status will show "Linked" when complete.

From the Alexa app:

  1. Open the Amazon Alexa app
  2. Tap More (bottom right) then Skills & Games
  3. Search for "Mysa"
  4. Tap Enable to Use
  5. Sign in with your Mysa account credentials
  6. Tap Discover Devices or say "Alexa, discover my devices"

Alexa Voice Commands

Check Temperature

  • "Alexa, what's the temperature in the [room name]?"
  • "Alexa, what's the [room name] set to?"
  • "Alexa, what's the humidity in the [room name]?"

Set Temperature

  • "Alexa, set the [room name] to [temperature]"
  • "Alexa, set the temperature in the [room name] to [temperature]"

Adjust Temperature

  • "Alexa, increase the temperature in the [room name]"
  • "Alexa, decrease the temperature in the [room name]"
  • "Alexa, turn up the [room name]"
  • "Alexa, turn down the [room name]"

Turn Off

  • "Alexa, turn off the [room name]"
  • "Alexa, set the [room name] to off"

Alexa Routines

Create routines to automate your mini-split:

  1. Open the Alexa app
  2. Tap More then Routines
  3. Tap + to create a new routine
  4. Set a trigger (time, voice command, location, etc.)
  5. Add an action — select Smart Home then your Mysa
  6. Set the temperature

Example routines: "Good night" (set comfortable sleep temperature), "I'm leaving" (set back when you leave), "I'm home" (return to comfort).

Alexa Groups

Group your Mysa with other devices in a room:

  1. Open the Alexa app
  2. Tap Devices then +
  3. Tap Add Group then Create a room or device group
  4. Name the group (e.g., "Living Room")
  5. Select your Mysa and other devices

Now you can say "Alexa, set the living room to 22 degrees" without specifying "thermostat."

Troubleshooting

Alexa can't find Mysa:

  • Make sure your Mysa is online in the Mysa app
  • Say "Alexa, discover my devices" to refresh
  • Check that the Mysa skill is enabled

Commands not working:

  • Use the exact room name from your Mysa app
  • Try rephrasing: "Alexa, set [room name] to [temperature]"
  • Check that your Mysa is online

Account won't link:

  • Make sure you're using your Mysa credentials (not Amazon)
  • Try disabling and re-enabling the Mysa skill

Unlinking from Alexa

  1. Open the Alexa app
  2. Tap More then Skills & Games
  3. Search for "Mysa" and tap on it
  4. Tap Disable Skill
