Apple HomeKit

Connect your Mysa for Mini-Splits to Apple HomeKit to control your mini-split with Siri, the Home app, or include it in HomeKit automations and scenes.

Connecting to HomeKit

Setup is done through the Apple Home app. You have two options:

Option 1: Scan HomeKit Code

  1. Open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap + then Add Accessory
  3. Scan the HomeKit code on your Mysa (sticker included in box, or find in Mysa app under Settings > HomeKit)
  4. Follow the prompts to add Mysa to your home
  5. Assign it to a room

Option 2: NFC Tap (iPhone only)

  1. Hold your iPhone near Mysa
  2. A prompt will appear to add the accessory
  3. Tap to pair — no code needed

Finding Your HomeKit Code

The 8-digit HomeKit setup code can be found:

  • On the HomeKit sticker included in the box
  • On a label on the back of your Mysa device
  • In the Mysa app: Thermostat > Settings > HomeKit

  2. Tap + then Add Scene
  3. Create a custom scene
  4. Add your Mysa and set the temperature/mode
  5. Add other accessories if desired
  6. Name the scene (e.g., "Good Night," "I'm Leaving")

Activate scenes by tapping them or saying "Hey Siri, [scene name]."

HomeKit Automations

Create automations that trigger based on time, location, or other events:

  1. Open the Home app
  2. Go to Automation
  3. Tap + to create a new automation
  4. Choose a trigger (time of day, when you leave/arrive, etc.)
  5. Select your Mysa and set the action

Example automations:

  • When everyone leaves → Set mini-split to 26°C (cool) or 16°C (heat)
  • At sunset → Set to comfortable evening temperature
  • When I arrive → Turn on cooling

Troubleshooting

HomeKit code not working:

  • Make sure you're entering the code exactly as shown
  • Try scanning the QR code instead of typing
  • Check that your Mysa is online in the Mysa app

Mysa not responding to Siri:

  • Use the exact room name assigned in HomeKit
  • Check that Mysa shows as "Connected" in the Home app
  • Ensure your Mysa is online in the Mysa app

Commands delayed:

  • Normal — IR commands take a moment to transmit and process
  • Check Wi-Fi signal strength at your Mysa's location

Removing from HomeKit

  1. Open the Home app
  2. Long-press on your Mysa
  3. Scroll down and tap Remove Accessory
