App Requirements and Device Compatibility

Last updated: October 26, 2026

You need the Mysa app to set up your Mysa and to control it from your phone. You can also change the temperature on the thermostat itself. Before you buy, make sure that your phone and your home network meet these requirements.

Phone and tablet requirements

  • iPhone or iPad: iOS 15.1 or later.

  • Android: Android 8.0 or later.

  • Bluetooth: Bluetooth 4.0 or later, for setup.

Note: There is no desktop or web version of the Mysa app. Use a phone or tablet.

Wi-Fi requirements

  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi: Mysa connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. Mysa does not connect to 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

  • Wi-Fi security: WPA2, or mixed WPA2/WPA3 (also called transitional). If your router uses WPA3 only, change it to mixed or transitional mode.

  • Internet access: Wi-Fi with internet access, for app control, schedules and smart home features. Without it, you can still change the temperature on the thermostat.

Note: Your router can use one network name for the 2.4 GHz band and the 5 GHz band. If Mysa cannot connect, split the two bands for a short time. Or set up a 2.4 GHz network.

Smart home requirements

  • Apple Home: The Home app on your iPhone or iPad. To control Mysa when you are away from home, you need an Apple home hub (Apple TV or HomePod).

  • Google Home: The Google Home app and a Google account.

  • Alexa: The Alexa app and an Amazon account.

Each model connects in one of two ways:

  • V1, V2, Lite, Mysa for In-Floor Heating and Mysa for Mini-Splits: Apple Home (native HomeKit), plus Google Home and Alexa through the Mysa cloud integration.

  • Gen3 and the Mysa Smart Thermostat: Matter only. Add them to Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa through Matter, after setup in the Mysa app.

For more information, refer to Smart Home Integration and Smart Home Integration — Mysa for In-Floor Heating.

Setup overview

  1. Download the Mysa app from the App Store or Google Play.

  2. Create an account or sign in.

  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.

  4. Follow the steps in the app to pair your Mysa.

  5. Connect your Mysa to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

V1 pairs over Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth.

Tip: Stand in front of your Mysa during pairing.
