Mounting and Placement — Mysa for Mini-Splits

After Mysa is powered on and paired, wall-mount it or set it on a table where the infrared signal can reach the indoor unit.

Wall mount

  1. Remove the adhesive backing from the included wall mount

  2. Make sure the arrow on the mount points UP

  3. Press the mount firmly against the wall for 30 seconds

  4. Slide Mysa onto the bracket

  5. Use the included velcro strap and clips to manage the cable

Tabletop

  1. Align the included stand's pins with the holes on the back of Mysa

  2. Push until the stand is secure and does not wobble

  3. Place Mysa on a flat surface with a clear path to the indoor unit

Where to put it

Mysa sends infrared commands in a 270° arc, and the signal can bounce off walls. It does not have to point straight at the indoor unit, but the path cannot be blocked.

  • Keep within 25–30 feet of the indoor unit

  • Do not place Mysa behind furniture, plants, or curtains

  • Keep at least 20 cm (8 inches) away from people

  • Keep the power cable reachable without stretching or creating a trip hazard

For accurate temperature readings

  • Place Mysa near the occupied area

  • Avoid direct sunlight

  • Keep away from heat sources and air vents

Multiple indoor units

Plan on one Mysa for each indoor head or room. Each head needs its own unobstructed infrared path.
