This guide explains the display, touch controls, and manual operation of Mysa Smart Thermostat for compatible central HVAC systems.

Display

The large number shows the current room temperature. When you change the temperature, the display briefly shows the new target temperature.

Touch controls

  • Up — raises the target temperature.

  • Down — lowers the target temperature.

  • Left and right — move through the operating modes available for your HVAC configuration.

Available modes depend on the equipment connected during setup. A heat-only system will not show cooling modes. Options such as Auto, Fan Only, or Aux appear only when the HVAC configuration supports them.

Manual operation without Wi-Fi

The thermostat continues to control the HVAC system when Wi-Fi is unavailable. Use the up and down touch controls to change the target temperature, and the left and right controls to select an available mode.

Using a schedule? A future scheduled event can replace a change made at the thermostat. To keep a temperature or mode until you change it again, open the Mysa app and choose an Indefinite hold.

Heating and cooling status

The thermostat calls for heating or cooling based on the selected mode, room temperature, and target temperature. Multi-stage systems decide when to use additional stages according to the thermostat configuration.

Display behaviour

  • Adaptive brightness adjusts the display for the light in the room.

  • Wake on Approach brightens the display when you move toward the thermostat.

  • Display settings are available in the Mysa app under the thermostat settings.
