Thermostat Preferences

Thermostat Preferences let you customize how your Mysa Smart Thermostat behaves—enable auto mode, set filter cleaning reminders, limit the temperature range, and choose Celsius or Fahrenheit.

To access preferences, tap the thermostat from your home screen, then tap the Settings icon (bottom right) > Thermostat Preferences.

Smart Early On

Enable or Disable Smart Early On

Smart Early-On helps your Mysa thermostat reach your scheduled temperature on time.

Normally, a thermostat starts heating or cooling when a scheduled event begins. With Smart Early-On, Mysa can start a little earlier so your room is already close to the temperature you wanted when your schedule begins.

For example, if your schedule changes to 21 C at 7:00 AM, Smart Early-On may begin heating before 7:00 AM so the room is comfortable by 7:00 AM, not sometime after.

Auto Mode

When enabled, your thermostat automatically switches between heating and cooling to maintain your desired temperature. Useful for seasons or climates where you might need both in the same day.

Filter Change Reminder

Set a reminder to clean or replace your HVAC filter. Choose how many days between reminders based on your filter type and household needs.

Note Reminders are based on calendar days, not actual HVAC runtime.

Tip Most filters should be checked every 1–3 months. Homes with pets or allergies may need more frequent changes.

Hardware Setpoint Limits

Set the minimum and maximum temperatures that can be set from the thermostat itself. This limits the range available on the physical device.

Rental properties where you want to prevent extreme settings
Childproofing
Energy management

Temperature Format

Choose whether temperatures display in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) for this thermostat. This affects the thermostat display and device-specific thermostat screens in the Mysa app.

Note: Some app features that can apply to multiple devices, including Schedule Wizard, use the account-level Temperature Format instead. If Schedule Wizard shows Celsius values while the thermostat is set to Fahrenheit, check the account Temperature Format first.
