Multi-Home: Managing Multiple Locations
Last updated: July 7, 2026
The Multi-Home feature lets you manage Mysa Smart Thermostats across multiple properties—your main residence, a vacation home, rental properties, or office spaces—all from one app. Switch between Homes with a few taps, no need to sign in and out of separate accounts.
Each Home has its own schedules, geofencing settings, and shared access permissions, so you can customize how each location operates independently.
Limits
Homes per account: There is no limit to the number of homes.
Devices per Home: For best performance, we recommend a maximum of about 50 Mysa devices per Home. Larger setups may work, but the app can slow down at higher device counts.
Tip Need to manage more devices or locations? Check out Mysa Commercial for larger deployments.
How to Create a New Home
Open the Mysa app and tap the menu icon
Select Manage Mysa Homes
Tap Create New Home
Enter a name for the Home
Add the address and electricity rate (used for energy cost estimates)
Home Settings
After creating a Home, you can configure:
Home Name — Rename anytime
Shared Access — Invite others to control thermostats in this Home
Geofencing — Set automatic temperature adjustments when you leave or arrive
Shortcuts — Create one-tap actions for this Home
Smart Alerts — Enable notifications for geofencing events
Primary Home — Set which Home appears first when you open the app
How to Move a Thermostat to a Different Home
Thermostats cannot be transferred directly between Homes. To move one:
Delete the thermostat from its current Home:
Open the Mysa app
Tap the thermostat you want to move
Tap the settings icon (top right)
Tap the trash icon to remove it
Re-pair the thermostat to the new Home:
Switch to the destination Home in the app
Follow the standard pairing process
Note Deleting a thermostat removes its schedules and settings. You'll need to reconfigure these after re-pairing.
How to Delete a Home
Open the Mysa app and tap the menu icon
Select Manage Mysa Homes
Tap the Home you want to delete
Tap Remove Home
Delete Home
Caution Deleting a Home removes all thermostats within it. You'll need to re-pair each thermostat to add it to another Home.
