Shared App Access
Shared Access lets you give others control over your Mysa Smart Thermostats—family members, roommates, or tenants can adjust temperatures from their own phones without needing your login credentials.
Shared Access also enables multi-user geofencing: the thermostat won't switch to "Away" until everyone has left, and it'll switch to "Home" as soon as anyone arrives.
What Shared Users Can and Can't Do

Note Sharing is all-or-nothing per Home—you cannot share only specific thermostats. All devices in the Home will be accessible to shared users.
How to Add a Shared User
- Open the Mysa app and tap the menu icon
- Tap Manage Mysa Homes
- Select the Home you want to share
- Tap Share Access
- Tap Add User
- Enter the person's name and email address
- Tap Next to send the invitation
The invitee will receive an email with instructions. If they don't have a Mysa account, the email includes a temporary password to create one. Existing Mysa users also get a notification in their app.
How to Remove a Shared User
- Open the Mysa app and tap the menu icon
- Tap Manage Mysa Homes
- Select the Home
- Tap Share Access
- Tap the user you want to remove
- Tap Remove User
Note You can only stop sharing an entire Home—there's no option to remove access to individual devices.
Troubleshooting
Invitation not working? Ask the inviter to delete the invitation and send a new one.
Thermostat not showing in your app? Make sure the owner has shared the Home with you.
Paired a thermostat but it disappeared? If you're a shared user and pair a new device, it goes to the owner's account first. The owner needs to share the Home again for you to see and control it.
Thermostat used to show but now it's gone? Check if the owner removed it from their account, or if it's in a different Home in your app.
