Schedule Holds

A hold is a temporary override of your scheduled temperature. Instead of waiting for your next scheduled event, you can manually adjust the temperature right now and keep it at that setting until you're ready to return to your schedule.

What Is a Hold?

A hold pauses your heating schedule and locks your thermostat to a specific temperature setting. This is useful when:

• You want a quick temperature adjustment without waiting for the next scheduled change
• Your plans change unexpectedly (guests arrive, weather shifts, etc.)
• You need to maintain a different temperature for a period of time

Without a hold, your thermostat automatically follows your heating schedule. With a hold in place, your manual temperature setting takes priority over all scheduled events.

How to Set a Hold

Using the Thermostat Display

1. Press the up or down arrow on your Mysa thermostat to adjust the temperature to your desired setting
2. The display shows your new temperature preference
3. Your thermostat immediately holds at this temperature

Using the Mysa App

1. Open the Mysa app and select your in-floor heating system
2. Adjust the temperature slider to your desired setting
3. Tap Hold to lock this temperature in place
4. The app confirms the hold is active

Hold Duration Options

When you set a hold, choose how long it should last:

Hold Until Next Scheduled Event

This option automatically returns your thermostat to your regular schedule at the next scheduled temperature change. For example, if your schedule calls for a setback at 10 PM, your hold ends and the schedule takes over at that time.

Use this when: You need a temporary adjustment for a few hours.

Permanent Hold

A permanent hold keeps your thermostat at the manual temperature indefinitely. Your heating schedule is completely paused—no scheduled changes will occur until you cancel the hold.

Use this when: You want to stay at a specific temperature for an extended period or while you adjust your heating schedule.

Canceling a Hold

Using the App

1. Open the Mysa app and select your in-floor heating system
2. Tap the Hold button or Cancel Hold option
3. Your thermostat immediately returns to your regular heating schedule

Automatic Cancellation

If you set a hold to end "until next scheduled event," the hold automatically cancels at the next scheduled temperature change and your regular schedule resumes.
