Schedule Holds: Pausing Your Schedule Temporarily
Schedule Holds: Pausing Your Schedule Temporarily
Sometimes you need to override your schedule—guests staying late, working from home unexpectedly, or heading out early. Schedule holds let you pause automatic scheduling and lock in a specific temperature.
Three Ways to Control Temperature
1. Follow Schedule
The default mode. Your thermostat automatically adjusts based on your programmed schedule events.
2. Hold Temperature (Indefinite)
Locks the thermostat at a specific temperature until you manually change it.
From the home screen, tap a thermostat to open the control screen. Adjust to your desired temperature and select Hold Temperature. The thermostat stays at this temperature until you choose another option or manually adjust it.
3. Hold Until a Specific Date and Time
Sets a temporary override that automatically expires—whether that's a 2-hour hold later today or a week-long vacation hold.
From the home screen, tap a thermostat to open the control screen. Adjust to your desired temperature, select Hold Until a Specific Date, and choose the end date and time. When the hold expires, the thermostat returns to following its schedule.
Resuming Your Schedule
From the home screen, tap a thermostat and select Follow Schedule to cancel any hold and return to automatic scheduling.
When You Don't Have a Schedule Set
If no schedule exists for a thermostat, any temperature you set stays indefinitely—the hold feature isn't needed. The temperature only changes when you manually adjust it or create a schedule.
Tip Use timed holds for vacations or trips. Set a lower temperature while away, and schedule it to return to normal before you arrive home.
