Physical Controls & Display — Mysa for In-Floor Heating
Front Controls
- Up arrow — Function: Increase temperature setpoint
- Down arrow — Function: Decrease temperature setpoint
Side GFCI Controls
The GFCI test and reset buttons are located on the side of the thermostat.
- Test button — Function: Tests the GFCI protection circuit
- Reset button — Function: Resets after a GFCI trip
- Trip indicator light — Function: Illuminates when GFCI has tripped
Display
The display shows the current temperature based on your selected mode:
- Ambient mode: Shows room temperature (5–30°C)
- Floor mode: Shows floor surface temperature (up to 40°C)
During pairing, the display shows a Bluetooth symbol to indicate pairing mode is active.
Error Codes on Display
Your Mysa for In-Floor Heating displays error codes when issues are detected:
- H2 — Meaning: Open heating circuit — no heater load detected — Action Required: Check heater connections and wiring
- H3 — Meaning: GFCI trip — ground fault detected — Action Required: Press Reset button; if error persists, check for wiring issues
- I3 — Meaning: Floor sensor issue — Action Required: Check sensor connection; sensor resistance should be 5K–40K Ohms
Testing the GFCI Monthly
Test your GFCI protection monthly to ensure proper operation:
- Verify the trip indicator light is off (if on, press Reset)
- Turn the heater to maximum temperature and wait 10 minutes
- Press the Test button
- Verify the trip indicator illuminates
- Wait 5–10 minutes to confirm the floor heater cools
- Press the Reset button to end the test
Tip Set a monthly reminder to test your GFCI. Regular testing ensures the safety circuit is functioning properly.
Manual Operation Without Wi-Fi
If your Mysa loses Wi-Fi connection, you can still control the temperature manually using the up and down arrows on the front of the thermostat.
Firmware Updates
Mysa for In-Floor Heating receives firmware updates over-the-air (OTA) through the Mysa app. The app will notify you when an update is available and guide you through the installation process.
