Managing Multiple Homes
Adding a Second Home or Location
The Mysa app supports multiple properties. Simply add each new address and its associated thermostat.
Steps to Add a New Home
- Open the Mysa app
- Go to Homes, Locations, or Properties (exact label depends on your app version)
- Tap Add Home or Add Location
- Enter the address or name of your new property (e.g., "Vacation Home," "Rental Property," "Office")
- Confirm the location is created
- Proceed to add your thermostat(s) to this new home:
- Go to Add Device or Add Thermostat
- Follow the pairing steps to connect your Mysa thermostat
- The thermostat is now associated with this new home
Your second home and its heating system are now part of your Mysa account.
Tip: Use descriptive names for each home so you can quickly identify which thermostat controls which property.
Switching Between Homes in the App
Once you've added multiple homes, you can easily switch between them to view and control each location's heating system.
Steps to Switch Homes
- Open the Mysa app
- Look for a Homes, Locations, or Properties menu (usually at the top of the app or in the sidebar)
- Tap the home you want to control
- The app now displays the thermostat(s) and schedule for that location
- Adjust temperature, check status, or modify schedules as needed
You can switch between homes as many times as needed. The app remembers which home you were last viewing.
Quick Access Tip
Some Mysa app versions display all homes on a single dashboard view. You can:
- See the status of each thermostat at a glance
- Tap any thermostat to control it directly
- Identify which home needs attention
Separate Schedules Per Home
Each home maintains completely independent heating schedules. This means you can:
Example Setup
- Primary Residence: Weekday schedule (heating 6 AM–8 AM, 5 PM–11 PM) plus weekend schedule
- Vacation Home: Minimal heating (62°F) with a boost only when occupants arrive
- Rental Property: Guest-friendly schedule (68°F during check-in, lower during vacancy)
Customization by Location
- Switch to the home you want to modify
- Go to Schedule or Scheduling
- Create or edit the heating schedule specific to that property
- Changes only affect the thermostat at that location
Each home's schedule is independent. Editing one home's schedule does not impact any other properties.
Using Saved Schedules Across Homes
You can also:
- Save a schedule at your primary residence (e.g., "Winter Comfort")
- Switch to your vacation home
- Load that same saved schedule and apply it
- Make location-specific adjustments as needed
Managing Mixed Product Types Across Homes
You can add any Mysa product to any home in your account. For example:
- Primary Residence: Mysa for In-Floor Heating in the bathroom and Mysa Smart Thermostat for central HVAC
- Vacation Home: Mysa for Baseboards in bedrooms and Mysa for In-Floor Heating in the kitchen
- Rental Property: Mysa for Mini-Splits for zone control
Each product maintains its specific features and control methods while being managed through the same multi-home interface.
Firmware Updates Across Multiple Homes
Mysa thermostats receive firmware updates over-the-air (OTA) through the app. When you have multiple homes:
- The app notifies you when updates are available for any thermostat at any location
- You can update each thermostat individually or update all at once
- Updates apply to the specific thermostat, not the entire home
To check for updates across all your properties:
- Switch between homes in the app
- Look for update notifications on each thermostat
- Apply updates when convenient for each location
