Geofencing — Mysa for In-Floor Heating
2 min read
Updated February 2, 2026
Geofencing uses your phone's location to automatically trigger shortcuts when you leave or arrive home.
How Geofencing Works
- You set a geofence radius around your home
- When you leave the geofence → Away shortcut activates
- When you enter the geofence → Home shortcut activates
Note Geofencing triggers shortcuts, not direct temperature changes. Configure your Home and Away shortcuts first.
Setting Up Geofencing
- Open the Mysa app
- Tap the menu (three lines, top left)
- Tap Geofencing
- Allow location permissions when prompted
- Set your home location on the map
- Adjust the geofence radius
- Tap Save
Geofence Radius
Choose a radius that matches your travel patterns:
- Smaller radius (250m): Triggers closer to home, better for walking or short commutes
- Larger radius (1km+): Triggers earlier, gives the floor more time to heat up
Tip In-floor heating responds slowly. A larger geofence radius gives your floors more time to warm up before you arrive.
Requirements
- Location services enabled on your phone
- Mysa app running in background
- Primary account holder (shared users cannot set geofencing)
Geofencing with Multiple Users
Only the primary account holder can enable and configure geofencing. The geofence triggers based on the primary account holder's location only.
Disabling Geofencing
- Open the Mysa app
- Tap the menu (three lines, top left)
- Tap Geofencing
- Toggle off Enable Geofencing
