App Requirements and Device Compatibility

The Mysa app is required to set up and control your Mysa smart thermostat. Make sure your phone and home network meet these requirements before purchasing.

Mobile Device Requirements

The Mysa app is available for both iOS and Android devices:

iOS: Requires iOS 15.0 or later (iPhone, iPad)
Android: Requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
Bluetooth 4.0 or higher required for initial thermostat setup

Note: The Mysa app is not available for Windows, macOS, or web browsers. A compatible smartphone or tablet is required.

WiFi Network Requirements

Mysa thermostats connect to your home WiFi network to enable remote control and smart features:

2.4 GHz WiFi network required (5 GHz networks are not supported)
WPA or WPA2 security protocol
Stable internet connection for remote access and scheduling

Important: Many modern routers broadcast both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. If your router uses a combined network, you may need to separate the bands or ensure the thermostat connects to the 2.4 GHz band during setup.

Tip: If you have trouble connecting during setup, try temporarily disabling the 5 GHz band on your router, or move your phone closer to the thermostat.

Smart Home Platform Requirements

Mysa integrates with popular smart home platforms. Each platform has its own requirements:

Apple HomeKit: Requires an Apple device with iOS 15+ and a Home Hub (Apple TV, HomePod, or iPad)
Google Home: Requires the Google Home app and a Google account
Amazon Alexa: Requires the Alexa app and an Amazon account
Samsung SmartThings: Requires the SmartThings app and a Samsung account

Setup Process Overview

Download the Mysa app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android)
Create a Mysa app account or sign in
Enable Bluetooth on your phone
Follow the in-app instructions to pair your thermostat
Connect the thermostat to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network

Tip: Keep your phone within a few feet of the thermostat during the Bluetooth pairing step.
